I picked up this welder about ten years back. The first summer I used it like crazy, and it did great. Last time I tried it, it did not put any power out. I think the fields need flashed, but do not know.

I'm going to try to bring it back home this next weekend, then I can look at it better. I think it is a WD32000B series, and a 6WD3200B68 model. It is belt driven off the Wisconsin motor. I think it was originally a motor/ welder, by the tag that mentions motor on the specs (mostly hidden by the welding cable terminal). These are the best pics I can find on my computer. I'll get more this weekend. I'm looking for any info anyone might have. Can I touch the leads to a battery to flash the field? or can that awaken the smoke genie? By the serial number, there has to be many more out there, but my sporadic searches wielded nothing.

Thanks for all help.

A new search, just came back with this E-bay add. Confirms my motor welder theory.

Similar models were also installed in Jeeps, that ran off a PTO. Made for both the Military, and Civilians.

Yes, flashing the field is where I would start. Sorry I can't give specific instructions for your unit but being a welder you're unlikely to fry it with a 12v auto battery.

Cheers,

John
