Gorton 2-30 RAM broke

May 27, 2011
We retrofited a Gorton 2-30 mill to CNC and have used it for many years.

The z-axis encoder recently failed causing the z-axis motor to feed the ram up past the limit switch.

The Z-axis drive no longer engages.

I need assistance to fix this. The first step would be a good drawing of the RAM.

Can anybody help. Thanks
