Her is mine , It is a 1980 Westsail 28 built in Costa Mesa California . Back when the Westsail Corp . was in business you could order one of these as a kit in various stages of completion . They made a 28' a 32' a 42 and a 43 , they were planing a 63' but went tango unicorn around 80' . The Ms . and I have owned this for over 20 yrs. I have made lots of machined parts for it some of which I have tried to sell like the wood shell turning blocks (that's sailor talk for pulley) . Anyhow I hope you enjoy the pics .

Nice Westsail. Good boats. You might not get there fastest, but you WILL get there.

Its been many years, but built a 47' sailboat with my dad in the mid 70's and sailed throughout the south pacific before going to med school. Fond memories, last time I was out sailing on the SF bay, we where scattering my dads ashes.

I never owned my own boat but sailed in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Took sailing classes at the Navy base in Oakland and raced Lido 17's on the SF bay. Later, my wife and I took lessons together and then chartered a 26' boat in the San Juan Islands for two weeks. That turned out to be the only 2 week long vacation we've ever done in 36 yrs. LOL
