Hey Guy's,

I purchased a HF 44142 Lathe Mill Drill Multi-Machine in 2005 and am
pleased with it. How many others out there are using one? How long
have you been using it? Are you happy with it's service it is giving you?
Tell us the good and the bad. How is yours setup?

I purchased one myself about six years ago and had a good time running it. The machine's only limitation I wanted to improve on was power feeding. I had to learn to turn the wheels with deliberate and constant motion. I don't regret purchasing the machine. I sold it last year when I found a nice older South Bend lathe available for just a little more than I paid for the multi-machine. It got posted on CL and lasted two days before a gentleman commited to buy it. I had adapted a four jaw chuck from a small Jet lathe, made a mean heavy ol' stand out of square tubing and had a ton of tooling I collected for the machine. He did not even question the price. A friend of mine also purchased the same machine from HF but went a diffrent rout. He hooked up motors and servos to the three axis and then a fourth to a rotary table. He can control the machine with his computer.
