Hi guys, my first post on this forum about my L5 Harrison lathe, I got setup for trying my first attempt to cut threads and was wondering if I can cut smaller threads than my lathe table suggest. Smallest setup I have is for 40/60/127gears to cut 1mm thread, I was wondering if I can gear it down to cut 0.4,0.45 etc?

Whilst technically possible, you'll find that you have to have gears made - I don't believe there were gears supplied by Harrison that allowed metric screwcutting below 1mm pitch.
