While browsing through Ebay I seen this book for sale.
"Audels Machinists and Tool Makers Handy Book" 1962
I've owned the 1942 version for many years & I love this book. Mine was a hand me down from my Father.
I lent this book to a friend with a machine shop about 20 years ago & he liked it so much, he tried to buy one.
He said they were out of print. Here's the link

Just for fun, I browsed eBay for Audels machinist books. Seems to be a goodly supply of 1941-42 editions. That's interesting. WW2 relics passed down through families???

I just looked up Audels books on eBay. You're right, there are a lot of them. Those are good books. When I mentioned on my earlier post that my friend couldn't
find one, that was probably back in the early 90's. Not too many people were using the internet back then. That's cool that we can find this stuff today.
I have another Audels book "Gas Engine Manual" copyright 1965. I pulled it out of my book shelf to get the info off it to respond to this post & realized it is an overdue
library book. Due sometime in 2002. Shame on me. I'm not too proud of that. Nothing like airing your dirty laundry on the internet. I guess this is a confession.
I'd hate to go to jail for overdue library books.

So I ordered a couple of Audels books. Electric Motor Guide & Mathematics and Calculations for Mechanics. I noticed that a lot of the pages in the Mathematics book are the same as the math section in
Machinists and Tool Makers Handy Book. I figure electric motors & math principles are just as relevant today as they were then.
