I have a new to me Tree mill which came with x and y dro scales attached to the machine, but no screen. I would like to try using them with a new screen, if possible. If someone can help identify the brand it may be possible to figure out the wiring and connect to a newer screen unit, right?

Thanks a lot,
Nik

I took the connector apart and it looks like there are 8 wires: Green, Green-White, Blue, Blue-White, White, White-Black, Red and Black. The red and black look slightly bigger gauge so guessing power and ground. Based on an AcuRite manual I found, it looks like this is most likely a digital differential setup (see manual pics). So hookup the +5v and ground and start testing the pairs? I guess there are only 3 :)

I don't know about DRO screens but here is a picture of the back of one.

It looks like you just plug them in.

I would be worried about the firmware the reads the DRO units on the table.
You may want to ask if a screen will read the units you have and are they metric or English.

The only thing I know about is computers. Find a screen, install a driver and it works.

I'd remove the cover on the scale.
The brand name and model should be on a tag.
