Help me Identify This Tool

Hi all,

I won an auction for a bundle of miscellaneous lathe tools a while ago and I'm only now just getting round to sorting the junk from the good stuff. Lesson learnt - don't bid on ebay items after a few beers!

Anyway, in the bundle was this boring bar. It looks perfect for facing and chamfering both the ID and OD so I'd like to be able to use it. Only problem is I can't seem to work out the appropriate insert and I was hoping someone could help. Here's some pictures:





The insert pocket is 4.25mm deep.

Initially I assumed it would be an SCMT 120404 but this was too large so I tried an SCMT 09T3.8 insert which was too small. I'm at a bit of a loss now and would be very grateful if someone could help me find the right insert.

Is there any markings on the bar.

No markings on the bar unfortunately. It looks as though it has been shortened at some stage so it’s possible any markings were cut off.
