Help wanted identifying J.G.H. Drill Press

Or a Pillar Drill as we call it in the UK.

I bought this a while back because it had "Backgear". Took me a while to get new gears made, as they had been stripped in use when I bought it. There is a label saying imported and it looks 1950's or 60's in style with the aluminum cast belt cover.

I am just curious as to its origin's, whether it is US, Canadian or Australian or somewhere else. If anybody recognizes the style please let me know?

It isn't USA I'm pretty sure- and probably not Asian either. I'm thinking perhaps India? Maybe Italy

I think it is from an English speaking country, but it could be European. The Bakelite knobs all have JGH in the castings on the ends.
