<p>Hendey Lathe. </p><p>Spindle is stuck. I got it this way so I have no idea what the problem is. Comes with 3jaw, stops, and extra misc parts. Looks complete. Comes with home made motor setup. Have not mocked up to check fitment.</p>

Looks like a project... may be some parts missing, like the taper attachment bed clamp.

It also may be missing the stud gear assembly... these parts may be in one of the buckets of parts.

The locked spindle is probably caused by wear on the inboard spindle bearing face... this is fairly easily fixed by shimming the spindle thrust washer, but requires complete disassembly of the headstock to repair.

Otherwise, it looks ok... but I don't have a lot of confidence in the motor drive assembly... looks like you would be limited to only 2 speeds.

Edit: It looks like the taper attachment is not assembled correctly... the upper bar that swivels to set the angle is installed backwards...
