I have a set of 50bb 357 mold blocks and need to make a sprew plate and a set of handles for. Anyone have any ideas on what material would be best to use for the sprue plate? Will a different brand of ten cavity mold handles be made to work? If any of you guys has one some dimensions on the sprew plate or could tell me how thick it is would be nice.

Steel. Thicker is better. Flat and tight against the mold surfaces when finished and installed is the important thing. The sprue plate holes should be reasonably sharp and line up with the centers of the cavities to help to achieve a better spin balanced bullet.

I would use 1/8 " or 5/32" tool steel might even go heavier ,you did say that the mold was a ten cavity. The heavier the better. Like Bob said make the spru holes sharp and centered.I may be wrong but I think H&G molds are into their own.

can you post a pic of the top of the mold , i have a couple 8 cavity h-g molds . i might be able to help you out with handles as well
