If you have problems with the hydraulic ram that controls the cut feed rate, check the oil level by taking it off the machine. You need to loosen the compression nut at the end opposite of the control valve, then loosen the other fittings. Slide the compression nut back, take off the elbow. Take off the valve end elbow. Drain both ends and then push the ram all the way inward. Fill both sides nearly full with SAE 10 non-detergent oil, reassemble, test.
 
Thanks for the tip. I have the same saw and have been very happy with it. Probably only made around 500 cuts with it, no issues so far. I'd hate to think how fast it would drop without that cylinder!
