A friend who shares my interest in manufacturing history sent this to me a few years ago. I figured it would be nice for members to read and hopefully appreciate where some of this all came from...

History of the Barber-Colman Plant

History of the development of the factory and facilities in Rockford, Illinois. This report was used to make a recommendation to preserve the factory and list it on the National Register of Historic Places. It was listed in 2006.

I went to the original post and clicked and nothing came up.

The link takes you to the download area. In that area, click Download. Then the pdf document downloads. It worked for me. It's primarily an architecture document, but there's some interesting stuff in there.
