Holy cow the Canada fire smoke just hit us in western central New Jersey...

Son and DIL drove down from Toronto yesterday and said it was pretty bad in NY .
 
Here is a pic of the Chesapeake Bay when I came across the Bridge yesterday going home from work

A lot better today. The winds are from the north west instead of the north east. Rain mixed in as well.

Today was better (yellow) but it’s still bothering my lungs and sinuses. Vision pretty clear.

Yesterday we got up to 376! It was pretty darn hazy…. Not gray like I expected… like a fog but definitely different. At work it was noticeably impaired vision to buildings 50ft away. Farther buildings were definitely worse and I could barely see vehicles on the road maybe 1/4 mile away. No chance of seeing the mountains! (Even on a badly humid/hazy day you can still see them)
The smell was definitely strange. Not wood smoke. Very chemical smelling…. Scary
