Homemade Precision Hamster Wheel lol.. Part. 1

Yeah it blew me away-
8" wheel
inner surface 24" id
11K revolutions x 2' = 22K feet
22K divided by 5280 = 4.16 mi., pretty impressive for a critter only 4" long
She also tore a huge hole in my wall trying to escape but that's another story LOL

If you have a load on a generator of any sort, it will rapidly so once the hamster tires out.

I love it so much when people think about how to properly care for such small animals. In fact, they can require a lot more attention than other animals.
 
It's always fun to get creative and try new things, especially when it comes to our furry friends.
Using AL6065-T6 and S45C carbon steel sounds like a great combination of materials for a sturdy and durable wheel
