Homemade vertical mill/drill CNC project

Wow, Looking good! Never seen a sewing machine servo motor before but it looks just like your standard brushless servo. The tiny, speed only control looks great too. I'll have to keep that in mind. This one looked like it was about $90? That is a great price.

Well, it worked great for a while. About halfway through the cut I needed to get this part for my bike done.

Then it started vibrating and messing up my cut. So....

Figure I'll try replacing the bearings even though they don't seem crunchy when I turn them by hand. Any other reason why a servo motor would run smooth then start vibrating? Could it be the controller?

Bummer. Was it vibration or speed oscillation? Vibration would be a bad motor, but a poorly tuned servo can oscillate horribly.
