Horizontal/vertical spin indexer question

I went out to the shop and checked the two indexers I own. One of them is missing the indexing pin and I never even noticed it.
I think I will go out today and play around with the indexer. Maybe make a few simple parts to show what the indexer can do.

Easy to add a stop like this. But I don’t think you need it.1619283010516.jpeg

Finally found this thread! Geez, I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on HM.

Jim S. asked me to post some pictures here for him as he has difficulty posting photos from his iPad.

Some sample parts:

Jim says:
Some pics of the indexing fixture . Shows the 24 index location set screws. If screws are backed out spring loaded pin will fall into that location. Pic has 3 screws backed out so fixture will stop 3 places.

Marks to see where index pin is.

Can use a chuck or collet closer.

Oversize closet closer and collet. This collet takes pads that can be bored to size needed.
