Work lately has taken a strange turn, I’m running 5 or 6 jobs from my home shop. So between phone calls, emails, text and videos, I‘m guiding the company minions, to do the jobs, so I can stay home to deal with some health issues, yet the works get done. But if needed, I’m suppose to leap into action, so I’m on “Hot Standby”, so between carrying 2 phones and an iPad, the anticipation of going to work, gets to be more of a burden than the actual work. So as I putter around the shop doing some of my work, some of the company‘s business, a few other projects and a few naps, I get to justify the salaried employee paycheck appearing in the bank on every Friday morning.
At times being in “Hot Standby” is a benefit, a burden, boring or a total PITA.
