How do I index?

Seems like the reported TIR is less than the Lyndex.

yeah but you cant always trust that....... Shars from what I know is a decent name. I was researching their vices a while ago.

Is it cheap or is lyndex overpriced, riding a previous reputation and laughing to the bank with their overpriced R8 collet offerings at $25.00each? I’m kind of joking....but maybe there is some truth.....

well I agree 100%, thats why I ask for opinions....... sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you dont.
 
Get the cheaper and test it and see how it works out. It will work for your application. If it’s out of spec then sending it back should not be an issue. Ground v block and a carbide blank should tell you how good the collet is compared to the claim. What is the runout of your spindle taper?
 
I'm on lyndex's website.... they are 15-20 minutes away from me
