Found a 12 1/2" x 36" Cincinnati hydrashift lathe for sale, it's in kit form. Guy wants $300, and says every thing is there. It's 45 min away. Any thoughts, good or bad? I don't really need it, but it could be a lot better than what I have.

I had a few LeBlond Regal servoshifts and loved them . Not sure if they were similar to the hydroshifts but for $300 I'd check it out for sure .

Look at the bed make sure everything is there . The price is not bad. Cinci made good stuff.

I bought it.

It got dropped, the power feed gear box was broken in several pieces on the front portion. I think there are a couple of pieces missing, as well as a few broken parts. There is wear on the ways. It came with a 6 jaw chuck, 4 jaw Chuck, steady rest, coolant pump, and taper attachment.

Only paid $300 for it, so I guess I did OK, can always part it out.

The chucks and parts are worth the price of playing.
When you get her operable, she can pay off her debt to you.
Thank you for saving her!

If there is enough left of the gear box you might weld it back together or youmigth find a compleat on somewhere. It is a project.

Nice buy! Have you decided what your going to do with it?

Too many broken and missing pieces. Parted out and scraped. I hauled the bed casting off yesterday.
