I have made the decision to CNC it!

Hmmm... Have you tried using jog mode, and just doing a simple .100 back and forth? I'm wondering if its a d2nc issue, mechanical, or electrical!

I was doing that last night to check for lash, and accuracy.

Steve, just so that you know, I have no clue on how to zip a file. Also, the computer that I connect to the web is the laptop, the machine is on a desktop that is not connected to the net.

I am wondering if it has anything to do with the motor tuning.

OakRidgeguy,
I am new to the forum but not new to homebuilt CNC and I live in Lenoir City actually just off the I-40/75 junction. I'm not sure about the protocol for off-forum communication but I would be happy to give you a tour of my shop and show and tell my CNC projects which include a DM4 Sherline CNC teaching mill, a watchmakers lathe, a Harbor Freight 7x10 lathe, a 9x20 jet lathe, a millrite vertical mill and soon to be a Monarch 10ee.
Not sure about how to communicate personal Emails, phone numbers etc. but we would probably have a great visit.

Cecil
