Do we have a Diesel mechanic here on this sight. I am install oil pump on a 3 cylinder caterpillar/Perkins engine for the gentlemen who takes care of our yard. The issue is how to get the shaft out of the block that the pump gears run on and the other is on the governor set up The model is a C1.5 ser # is C5N01267. I call cat to find out about a service manual. It will cost around 450.00$ by the time I get it. I am just trying to help a guy out.

A photo of the setup would help. Is it Caterpillar or Perkins engine? I'm retired millwright and HDEM and have worked on a lot of diesels, not really familiar with that model
Perhaps a visit to a cat dealer mechanic might help you out

I will take some pictures of the question Area

Is this on a genset?
If it wasn’t for the Covid thing you could bring coffee and donuts to the parts guy at Cat. He might print off the service manual pages you need.
Cheers
Martin
