I would like to find a hand crank worm drive strap winch with a 1" wide strap

Here is a motor that I pulled off a vehicle in the distant past. No idea as to make, model, or year except the fasteners are metric.

I'm too late, but a slack adjuster for a large truck S-cam air brake is a worm gear. The adjustment is done with a 9/16" hex head and rotates a hub with a splined bore. They are rugged and quite compact. Matching camshafts rarely wear the spines, instead they wear at the support bushings and sometimes the S-cam area. The camshafts get scrapped, so you can source a donor spline for cheap or free.

A friend once used one to rotate an engine overhaul stand. It worked very well.

one more thought came to me while falling asleep last night...... how about a 3D-printed winch?

Somewhere on youtube I saw someone testing one and I was very surprised at the amount they were able to lift.

Here, found it:

and it looks lie there are many others.
