The original plans for the Muncaster Entablature steam engine in 1957 in Model Engineer are not detailed enough and the plans by Julius de Waal are in metric and require re-drawing because very hard to read (at 85 this is hard to read) and the conversions don't always work out directly. Does anyone know of a better set of plans?

An easy and accurate method for metric to inch conversion in the shop is to buy a pair of Mitutoyo digital calipers.
Dial in the metric dimension, push the button and you'll have the inch equivalent to .001. They also happen to be great calipers as well.

Sorry, can't help with plans.

Thanks, i have a pair and it is a quick conversion. I will keep searching for plans and contact some museums for detailed Entablature steam engine pictures and probably create my own plans in Fusion 360.
