Indexable Endmill - Rusnok Mill

The plunge, advance, plunge, advance shown in the video is exactly what I suggested.
 
Thanks to everyone. I will give the fly cutter, step and plunge a try. I’ll need to do some shopping for the fly cutter and shank and some additional milling before making the attempt. I’ll likely practice on some scrap first. Thanks again!

I tried the step and plunge with the fly cutter and it did not work out well. I did video it, but it’s not something I want to re-live. I kept breaking the cutting insert. So I tried making the grooves while feeding the material. An autofeed would have been helpful. I may mill this down and try again.

Have you checked your spindle bearings for excess runout?
The rake of your cutting tool could also be a problem...
