India stone

I want to ask if the soluble cutting fluid(cut, or straight) for the mill etc would be a candidate for stones/diamond plates?

If you know someone with a ultrasonic cleaner they work great. I bought a cheap one on ebay and love it use it on many different things, stones come out clean clean. Other than that hot soapy water and scrub brush.

I tried the mineral spirits and got the stone 80% clean. I've been wanting a ultrasonic cleaner for some time, maybe this is the excuse I need to soothe my conscience.

I got the 10L one ebay special just over hundred and also got some master stages clean2030/5 and it works great, it has a rust/corrosion inhibitor so no worries about parts rusting. I throw anything that will fit in there from carburetors to india stones to dirty tools even throw my quick change lathe tools in to knock the oil and chips off when they get cruddy. The heat makes a big difference so let it heat up if the parts dont come clean.

At work we cleaned a flattened store on 120 grit paper.
We did this dry and used several sheets.
Blow a little air through the stone before you use the sand paper.

Softer stone we used 320 wet or dry. worked great for flattening and cleaning.
