Info on Enco 100-5200 knee mill saught - alternative to mini/bench mill...

Looks to be a clone of a Kurt vise, It would cost money to replace, if you did not get it. I'm also distracted by the Pontiac nose in the picture, if it's Butternut yellow, maybe a 67. :)

Haha I'll have to ask. Owner was doing a nice GTO restomod, cool guy.

vague approximation of what an import vise like that goes for?

I'm seeing 100-250.00. This one is a look alike without the swivel base. The Kurt's are much higher.

Vise is worth 100 bucks max if made in China. More if it's an older Enco made elsewhere. Mill looks kind of like mine...

I would guess it's similar vintage to the made in taiwan mill but not sure. Any notion what the two axis Enco branded Platinum Plus DRO (made in USA) adds to value?

Out here $1500 seems like a decent price for that. I think this mill is essentially the same as this Grizzly mill, $3600 new.

Grizzly G0729 6x26" mill

It is roughly the same size as a Clausing 8520 or Rockwell 21-100 which are very popular with space challenged hobbyists.

Do you know what the spindle taper is? A lot of the similar mills use an R8 taper which is very common.

I have a handshake on this mill. I believe spindle taper is R8?

Motor information attached. I would definitely like to do a DC motor/speed controller conversion, I need to read up on the treadmill type options. Is it common to move the motor so its not hanging off the back or not by so much? This would save space in a small shop. Photo Nov 16, 6 31 54 PM.jpgPhoto Nov 16, 6 46 18 PM.jpg
