Spent sometime this weekend going through stuff in the shop, trying to make room....lol
I came across this inspection stamp from Westinghouse.
I just thought was cool and had to share.20221127_195644.jpg20221127_195716.jpg20221127_195743.jpg

I think that is very cool as well. There is a Westinghouse motor on my lathe, I wonder if it bears a mark from a similar stamp? 1944 7.5HP. Still runs great! Thanks for sharing.

It's always cool to find old things like that . :encourage: My Dad worked for Westinghouse and died at his desk back in 68 , 54 years ago . :( I still own many of his tools .

Cool and strange at the same time. I was a QC/QA grunt for 35 (?) years in Defense and Aerospace, and never saw an inspection stamp that didn't have a number included. So they would know who to blame.
Also, I couldn't tell if that would be an acceptance or rejection stamp; the ones they issued us were either black (accept) or red (reject).
Cool nonetheless.

That is cool as heck, I wonder if the stamp can be dated, by the way they spelled St Louis, or am I reading it wrong?
