Is this "cheating"

I have this in the project area, but I was wondering about being able to do the radius without the hole saw, or a CNC. I have power feed on the X, and manual for the Y.

It's only cheating if she catches you...... lol. IMHO I think that if it works then it is "just a different way" of completing a job. Looks good to me.

Why would that be "cheating"? Looks like an excellent solution for producing a nice radius on your work!

p.s. what's the manifold going on - those are HUGE opening for the plenum!

Boring bar or fly cutter will do it. A better finish than a hole saw. You may want to rough it out with an undersized hole saw first though.

No it's a normally aspirated 572.

Will she be GULPING pump gas? What about a bottle for the track days?

I'm expecting it to pass EVERYTHING on the road ,,,,,,, but a gas station. No plans on adding a bottle at this time. It could take a small amount, but the ring gaps are not set up for anything aggressive.

RJ I did not think about a fly cutter, one of which I have, still in plastic I agree, it would have had a better finish, the hole saw had some run out too.
