I was told they must be class 5 bearing, hand selected from factory for tight tolerances and they must match. I do not wish to get into a urinating match with anybody. I did a whole lot of research on the bearings and am only roughly quoting what I remember. I wish you all good health, because without it you have nothing.

Sorry about the ranting, but at being a H-M I look at ways at doing things at more of an economical level that I can afford. I do keep sets of super precision bearing sets for backups for my machines, on hand. You never know when a replacement is needed. In fact, I keep a number of different sizes of bearings on hand when a break down happens, I have them. And they are handy for the rebuilding work I do in my shop, too.
