Finally got my lathe running after a long wait. I was so nice to get everything mounted and wired in, when I turned it on for the first time and it was really great.
I didn't have a lot of time to try and make any chips today but I can't wait. I got my new old drill press in yesterday and it is going to sit right there behind the lathe
until I get my new work bench built. 20191012_200536.jpg

Yup, always a good day when you turn the machine on for the first time. Nice looking lathe, I like Logans.

( just make sure you check the tool post before first chips — it’s kind of hanging out one side .... :)

Sure thing... I have to align the tailstock as well. My four jaw chuck fits closer to the spindle than the three jaw does. I may need to fit the adapter once I have some more experience. I would like an collet setup but that is going to be further down the road...
