Jacobs chuck

I rescued a nice big Jacobs drill chuck 5/8" a while back, the ball bearing style, nice chuck. I didn't put it into a machine before I took it apart and cleaned it. Once I did run it, I noticed it has some weeble wobble. It's got some good runout...
Is there any way to fix that? I'm fairly certain it's in the jaws.
Would there be a set order to reinsert the jaws like in a lathe chuck? Could I have messed that up? Or is it more likely it's been abused and I'd have to buy a repair kit from Jacobs (expensive...) Or just abandon it.

Ok, what a relief... I'll press it back apart and see what I find

Stellar! That worked a peach. Sweetness. Thanks!

Terrific. Always good to hear a problem has been solved. I have one of the Superchucks. I love it.

Yeah I just noticed it said super chuck. Ball bearing. 1/8-5/8. Nice.

Well mine is a 14N. I remembered the model number, but forgot mine only opens to 1/2in not 5/8in.
