Jacobs SuperChuck No. 14

Finally got the chuck back together today. After disassembling I realized the arbor press on my wish list would be awfully nice to put it back together. So I found a Dake No. 1 on craigslist last week. That will be a good restoration project. As you can see in the chuck pictures, it was very grimy but everything cleaned up nicely. The races were in pretty good shape but the ball bearings were really pitted. I picked up the loose ball bearings at a bike shop for just a few bucks. The jaws and body were already stamped so no problem putting them back in correctly. They did need some work to get them to slide easily in the body but its back together and opens and closes easily. It's a nice chuck.
