Knurling with a Logan 200

Is the lathe (and the lantern toolpost) rigid enough to knurl crosshatch well in brass? Steels such as 1018?

What type knurling tool are you using?

I would highly suggest a pinch-type knurler. I used the bump-type knurler that came with my QCTP set one time. It was an unpleasant experience.
