Kurt D675 v Kurt D88

Hi All,

I recently acquired a Bridgeport 2J that came with a bunch of tooling and a Kurt D675 vise. I sent the serial number to Kurt to determine age, etc. and they advised that the serial came up as a D688. Can any of you confirm their advice and explain the difference between the two models?

Well it does say D675 on the name plate, I wouldn't think that's a mistake?

Easiest way to check is the jaw opening capacity. D675 Is 7.5" capacity, D688 is 8.8" capacity.

A shame Kurt makes it so confusing. Best to send the vise to me and order exactly what you want directly from them.

I measured it - it's definitely a D675. But as Dhal22 said, I don't have to worry about it anymore since I packed it up and sent it his way!
