Leblond Regal 15x30

Great pics, thanks. Yours appears to have the feed reversing lever on the carriage as well as the headstock gearbox?

The only thing I have reservations about is the lack of a steady rest.

Yes, that is something that I have never been able to figure out. Seems redundant to have two levers that do the same thing.

-- at that price I would buy it if it runs at all. My 15X60 was over double that and I'm glad it was that cheap. Everyone who has used this leBlond says it is the easiest to use, best lathe they've used, and all those guys have a much newer 16 or 18 inch lathe at home. All I can say is, after you've used one for a while everything else seems a little less convenient.

(sorry to others about my bias - I've used many brands of lathes over the last 40 years, and this is the one *I* like...)

I remember fondly the LeBlond lathes I used in my apprenticeship. There was a variety of lathes in the toolroom I 'grew up' in and LeBlond was everyone's lathe of choice.
