Looking for recommendations where to purchase these blades? Last time I ordered blades was in the Enco days.

I think Zoro has them.

Lenox is good. Starrett is good. You can buy saw blade by the boxed coil in bulk, it tends to be pretty cheap, and weld your own together if you like saving money.

I have thought about soldering my own blades from a coil. When I looked pricing, it did not really seem like a bargain. Am I correct on this?

If you are using an unusual type of blade, that is not available from the welded-blade vendors, buying bulk blade an making your own makes sense. The internet has made buying welded blades economical for most users.

It is kind of like reloading your own ammunition, except that the cost difference is less for blades than ammunition.
