If you are asking as to whether you need a full length MT2 or stub length Mt2 for a live center shank, I have a Grizzly 10 x 22 and I just buy standard MT2 shanks and cut the tangs off to eject the taper just before the end of travel. This gives me the maximim travel of the quill when using the adapter. The process is easy with a cutoff disk in a Dremel.
