Curious how people indicate from the spindle. Mine turns so easy a strong wind can rotate it. LOL I used a 12 mm wrench and bungee cord to keep it from rotating when indicating a vise. I plan on cutting a 12 mm notch in a piece of thin plate and dropping it between the draw-bar nut and the motor cover. Anybody else have a better way? Thanks. Charles

PS. Love the mill. Well worth the extra money over the smaller ones.

Any port in a storm. If you can make it work, do it.

Attach an Indicol to the quill?

I made a little plate I attached to the head of my Taig mill with a clamp hole for a DTI, which is quite convenient.

You think that machine tool manufacturers would provide mounting points for indicators, but I've never seen that done.

They do, it is the spindle.
If you have an indicator that applies enough force through the stylus to rotate a spindle you need a new indicator.
