I have a Logan 816 with the carriage clutch setup. Is it ok to powerfeed the carriage all the way to the carriage stop letting it briefly cause the clutch to slip and stop the cut in the same place each time, or is this not advisable and only to be used to prevent damage in case of a screw-up?

Thanks

I believe it causes undue wear but I'm not a Logan expert

Its prolly not good practice, but you can if you want. Most people power feed to within a few thousand by eye, disengage the power feed, and then feed to the stop by hand. Easier on the clutch mechanism.
