I recently picked up a power hacksaw, and its 95% there EXCEPT the "Blade Lifting Locking Sector" #14. I have the rectangular block (crudely depicted in blue) that slides up and down the vertical bar (crudely depicted in red), but its broken where a bolt might have been attached to a downward facing hook. This is a punt to the community, if anyone has this saw and can help walk me in on to the target on how to recreate that portion. I wonder if the back side of that downward facing tooth was a cam lobe so when the tooth was pushed up the cam would lock on the vertical bar and lift the blade on the off stroke?
Everything else is there and after I cut some new brass gibs she should be up and running, but taking advantage of the lift feature sure would be nice. Thank you in advance!
