I am considering trying my hand at making new M6-101-20 gears using Delrin for my 6 inch Atlas lathe. Anybody know what size gear cutter I would need? I have tried to research this. What I have been able to piece together is 24 diametral pitch, 14 1/2 pressure angle, involute curve and a #6 cutter. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

Dave

Thats all the info you need, dp 24, pa 14½°,
Cutter #6

You can look for an 8 piece set #1 - #8 to do any 24 dp gear you need.

I bought a 20dp 14½°pa set #1-8 for my machine.

Thanks to all for the replies. Really appreciate them. Now to decide what to do --machine them or get them 3D printed!
