Your press looks great. I use cleaning vinegar for removing mill scale. I've tried it on rust, I'll have to give it a try. It still seems relatively toxic but works faster than plan white vinegar.

I usually just put it in a Muriatic acid bath. This removes the rust and the mill scale that beats up your cutters. Been doing it for years and it works fine for me.

What is a good container for this stuff. I found some at a building I care for but it has been sitting around a long time and the platic gallon jug is brittle. I want to save it for use but am not sure what to pour it into to keep it. Thanks for any help with this.

Glass would work perfectly and will last forever. Mine is still in the plastic jug it came in.
