Making parts for a 13" Steady Rest

I bought about half a steady rest for my 13" that was missing some parts. Rather than buy them, I decided to make the ones that I could.

Get R done nothing but time on a machine to make it happen and would be a fun project!!!

Chatter? have you checked the spindle bearings for excessive clearance? Also bell mouthed chuck jaws are not helpful.

One step closer. I machined a new bed clamp for the steady rest. Made some mistakes. Recovered. Learned a bit.

Finished the machining of the replacement parts, so I can get the project completed. Minus one design flaw in my bed clamp that was easily rectified, everything went together smoothly. This project is DONE!
