AFTER 7 YEARS OF WORKING ON MY TG-500 PROJECT I AM FINALLY
IN THE STAGES OF FINAL ASSEMBLY .
THE CAR IS A FAKE , REPLICA , COUNTERFEIT , WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT .
IT IS BUILT ON A KR-200 3 WHEELER CHASSIS AND USES A HONDA 600 DRIVETRAIN .
THE BODY PANELS ARE FIBERGLASS AND THE WHEELS FROM AN ISETTA .
THAT BEING SAID , HAVING A FAKE TIGER ISN'T SO BAD . IT ALLOWS YOU TO
MAKE IT HOWEVER YOU WANT .
FOR EXAMPLE , THE ORIGINAL CARS DID NOT HAVE TILTING TAIL SECTIONS .
WITH A 36 HORSES IN A 700 POUND CAR , THIS WILL BE A VERY FAST MICROCAR !
THE CAR WILL BE TURQUOISE ! HERE IS THE TUB READY FOR ASSEMBLY .
THE REAR SUB-FRAME IS OF MY OWN DESIGN . IT COMES APART IN TWO SECTIONS
SO THE LOWER PART CAN STAY IN THE CAR WHEN THE MOTOR IS REMOVED .
I MADE MY OWN SPINDLES & HUBS FOR THE BRAKES . THE DISCS ARE MODIFIED MG MIDGET
PARTS AND IT USES WILWOOD 4 POT CALIPERS . I MADE THE LUG NUTS FROM STAINLESS STEEL .
YOU COULD NOT POSSIBLY FIT BIGGER BRAKES INSIDE A 10" WHEEL .
THE MASTER HAS DUAL CIRCUITS AND MOUNTS AT AN ANGLE . THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY IS
ENTIRELY OF MY OWN DESIGN . THE RESERVOIR MOUNTS ON A WEDGE ADAPTER I MADE
TO KEEP IT LEVEL . THE SHORTENED DRIVE AXLES ARE ON THE FLOOR .
THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS PROJECT IS THAT MY WIFE IS AS EXCITED ABOUT IT AS I AM
AND WE WORK ON IT TOGETHER . JUST HAVING A GREAT TIME !
