I have the opportunity to pick these two machines up for 2k. I want to offer 1500.

What do you all think. I sold my Allient knee mill and want this for the home shop.

Can someone ID the lath? SB 10"?

$2000 seems a very fair price, actual condition of the machines being important. Those Clausing mills often sell for $1500-2500, and for the lathe $1000-2000 would not be an unreasonable price.

Actual condition verified in person, included tooling, and location being big variables. Around here asking $2000 for them and they would already be gone by the time you posted this unless they are trashed.

Seems like a screaming deal if they're not completely trashed. They *do* look a little rough, but it looks more like poor storage (usually easily remedied) than huge wear. BUT, it's hard to tell much from a couple of pictures.

Turn cranks and spindles. If everything moves no dickering is necessary. I wouldn't mind having those.

My friend got a free Bridgeport. The vari speed drive wore down past the bushings. It then twisted around the shaft and ate itself. He has been waiting months for parts.

Lots of hours to get those cleaned up and running but then that's why its called a hobby:)

Not a 14.5 lathe, the bump on the door indicates a smaller base.

Maybe 13.

Has double lever QCGB so that is good thing.
