Purchasing a 1978 model miller 330 welder. Sn HJ141767
However no foot pedal for tig.
Online prices are steep at all the normal places
Anyone have a used one they are willing to part with?

You should be able to find a suitable interchange for your welder. In my experience, Miller dealers have been very good at this kind of support for older blue machines. An in-person visit to the service counter is the best way to start that conversation, though.

I think that this welder uses a special rheostat that has to handle high current. It is expensive used, and the clone pedal manufacturers do not offer a replacement. If this is the one I am thinking about, the only way is to make your own. Either this requires a custom wound rheostat, or a transistor amplifier (think digital pot).

Miller still makes the pedal but they are approx $400 . And their service department would gladly sell me one.
The model pedal is RFC 23.
They are also available used from ebay, but with unknown sellers etccc,.
Was hoping someone here might have used one for reasonable price.
Thanks for the replies and info
