I'm making a spanner wrench for rebuilding the lower units of my boat engines. All I have is a lathe, a home made milling attachment , and a bottle of Dykem. Without any kind of indexer I was worried about the matchup between the wrench and the nut but it came out pretty good on the first try. I clamped the nut to the spanner body and scribed the lines.

Neat! What material is the spanner made from? What do you intend to use for turning the spanner?

Cheers Phil

Was wondering what material you used as well and did you heat treat it.
