Does anyone have any helpfull mods or things to watch for? Im looking to place a qctp on it will this work? QCTP
 
That might be a little small for a 9" SBL. Need a AXA size tool post. I think in the long run, you will be disappointed with that one.
 
I just put a Boxtar AXA on my SB 9A and it works beautifully!
Be aware that you have to mill off the mounting plate to fit.

Size... the oxa fits the mini-lathes, I think. The axa should be perfect for the SB 9 inch. The bxa size is advertised for 10- 15 inch lathes, but I have a bxa on my SB 14 1/2 and, while it works, its really too small. I have to do some 'creative shimming' to get certain tools centered on the workpiece.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a cxa for my SB.
