Murphy the Sharp Shooter!

I was turning some axles for a mower project I'm doing when Murphy shot a hot chip right up my nose. After a short rain dance it seems that no real harm was done. Being Italian my nose is nothing to sneeze at but it was still damn fine accuracy from the patron saint of disaster!

20-something years ago, I had a blue chip go up my nose while running a lathe... and discovered that my finger wasn't long enough to get to it...

I had to stand there and suffer with tears flowing down my face until it cooled off.

It took 15 minutes of trying before I managed to blow it out.

Usually, it's children that get things stuck up their nose. Here's a tip for when your next stop is the emergency room:
